Default Water in Drivers side

I've been trying without success to find where the swimming pool is coming from under the drivers side carpet. I haven't used the truck since I've been working out some electrical issues but after it rains, the drivers side is really full of water. I've removed the panel under the sterring wheel and the one covering the CTM. Pulled back the carpet and had my wife spray various areas with a garden hose to no avail. I can't seem to spot water dripping from anywhere under the dash or near the door. I would think with the amount of water getting in that I would see a significant drip from somewhere. The back carpet does not seem wet either. Also, the passenger side is bone dry. Truck is a standard cab, no AC Sport model, has sliding glass rear window. Things I've done so far, Removed windshield wiper cowl and cleaned debris and drains. There was not much under it and drains were mostly free from debris. Resealed third brake light. Checked heater box and it was dry so no water appears to be getting in there. Windshield appears to be factory. Not sure where to go from here.

Give that windshield a really good look. Mine was leaking from the top, down around the glass, before coming into the cab.

Good luck.

Is there way for water to splash in through the firewall? Say around the steering shaft or brake booster.

I experienced this in my 98 water leaking through my back slider. Spray water around i and it would come in and lay in the channels then run down the back of the cab. This was right after my accident so I figured maybe something got tweaked a little. Insurance replaced my window only to find out that there was still water coming past the window. I come to find out(thanks to safelite) That the rear slider isnt 100% water proof some water will enter but thats what the channels are for. There is 2 or 3 weep holes in each channel that allow the water to drain on the back side of the cab outside. Sometimes these weep holes get plugged up over the years and dont let the water drain out. So that could be your problem. Now if it isnt I recommend pulling the seats and the carpet out. About a 30min job even easier on a single cab. Dry the cab out real well make sure you clean up all the water then proceed to spray it down(15-25min) It will be easier to tell where the water was coming from. If you cant find it reinstall the seats drive it around or park it like until you get it figured out if not over time if you dont get that carpet completely dry it will start to mold and get musty in the cab. Thats how my dakota got and I had to replace the carpet.

check the rubber boot that connects the door to the main body if its missing or not in water will come in behind the kick panel under your park brake

Great info guys.....just looked again and the bracket on the parking brake ***'y is rusted. I'm starting to thing that water leaked on my CTM and caused that to fail. Dodgeramguy...great info. I probably should pull the seats and carpet as it is like a sponge full of water. I'll update on my progress. I've got 3 other vehicles and they all need something fixed. Starting to look like a repair shop at my house.

OK, so last weekend I took out the seats and carpet. The foam seemed like it held about 50 gallons of water. Last night hear on the east coast, we had an epic wind/rain storm. Checked the truck this morning.........bone dry! Now I'm really baffled???

Did u park it any different way. Some times parking it on a slight hill will be enough to throw off the direction of water
