Default opinion on exhaust

i have a 2001 sport 3.9 v6. I am looking to put on an exhaust. Just dont know what kind to go with. I really dont want to mess with headers or CAT system. I would like to have a good sound dont want anything raspy or soundin like an import car. I do realize im not going to be getting the deep sound of a v8 but still want something to sound good. any ideas will help. thanks.

Put a Flowmaster 40 series on the wife's GM 4.3 v6 and sounds good. I have Flowmaster too but I have a V8.

ive got the 3.9 and i love my flowmaster 40 series. its not ricey like a car. its got a good rumble to it. id go with that, and i cut the exhaust a little after the muffler and it sounds even better. its loud at 3k before it shifts so if you dont want that id keep the tailpipe out the rear.

I replaced mine with Flowmaster Force 2 on 2001 quad cab 4x4. About 200 for cat back. Minor upgrade on aggressive sound on exterior but seems quieter on the inside. Very satisfied. Only problem was cat back didn't mean cat back, the intermediate pipe right after catalytic converter was not included but at least a new walker replacement pipe was 12 bucks at advance auto.
