Nah, my rear brakes are OK. If they were not working then the truck would not have stopped when I tested it by using the parking brake to stop. If/when they have problems I will deal with it then. I do adjust my rear brakes by hand, but my self-adjusters are still working OK. I had to back them off a pretty good bit on both wheels just to remove the drums last night.

Thumbs down They just will not self adjust

You must have the 10'' rear drums I think they are better at self adjusting my 9'' have never adjusted and I have tried everything under the sun to get them to work correctly they just will not self adjust. I have tried every different way backing up and they just dont work. Everything is lubed up well everything is working as it should by the manual and correctly installed.

They just will not self adjust

You should just do them now and be done with it then you are set for another 152K.

The reason the rear brakes last so long is the self-adjusters don’t work in these trucks.

This is a fact that they don’t work at all best is to adjust them by hand every 6 months
I am gonna side with silver on this one. if they are not causing problems, leave well enough alone. If he is like me, there's plenty of other things to spend his money on!

You make it sound like I’m forcing 01SilverCC to do something I don’t see how that’s possible?

I guess sometimes I do come across that way I’m just used to ordering people to do things a natural way of things for me I guess. I’m used to making decisions’ for many people and talk that way.

Yep I may need new rotors. I had my wheels balanced today and some of the vibration is gone but it still shakes the steering wheel between 65 and 70 mph. Tomorrow I am going to maybe drop my tire pressure to 35 psi and rotate the tires in a cross pattern and see what happens. I don't know what is causing the vibration. I hope my tires are OK, they have maybe 20K, BFG Long Trail T/A Tours. I read some reviews on Tire Rack.com how some people with trucks similar to mine have not had good results from the Long Trail after they got about 20K on them.

On the positive side though my brakes work great. I cleaned and adjusted my rear brakes and they are working fine. They are in good shape so I got a refund on the brake parts. My truck still has the slight shimmy when coming to a stop so I might need new rotors but I want to address this vibration issue first. It just started here recently. I drove at 70-75 mph on the Florida Turnpike maybe a month ago and did not have any vibration problems.
