I have a 2000 dodge dakota quad cab...v8 4.7L...its a great truck, and normally runs like a dream, lately, there are times when it will not crank, it has power, so its not the battery, if I let it sit for 30-60 minutes, it will crank right up and I have no problems. This has happened 3 times in the last week. Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

When you turn the key and it doesn't start, do you hear a click from under the hood? There is a starter motor relay there. You can swap it with another if you have to.

Check the connections on the starter motor and that the starter motor is tight.
