Weird Oil Pressure....
you say six like i should be surprized.... ? im in a canadian dodge too. its all metric... but im sure psi will be on the guage. if not ill convert it over.. but 30-80 sounds like a huge range. why such a gap?
Most people are surprised at how low the idle oil pressure specs are. Those are right out of the factory manual.
A general rule of thumb, 10 psi per 1000 rpm.
How's 41.4 kPa sound for idle?
207-552 kPa at 3000 rpm.

honestly... i couldnt tell you... i dont knjow metric pressure. even tho were in canada... just about everything still in the automotive wise in pressure i find is still psi lol.... but i mean i also dont know more like of the engine working is like. like i do not know all the pressures and fuel/air ratios ect.... not yet at least. im a little more of an audio freak to some degree and a repair guy for cars lol the comprehension of engine pressures i do not know yet.
like i said... as far as i go... my oil guage is reading around 60-70% on the guage. thats from 0-max. (of the lines the guage has like a 760kpa past the line which i NEVER reach.)

so my guage reading there is actually normal and fine??.. seriously?
why would it have been reading 275 kPa before? (the mid of the guage, 90degree point)
oohh and on a side note... i want to put Royal Purple into the truck... its got 250k on it.. and i will use a fram synthetic high mileage filter.. anything i should or shouldnt with that?

why put that in there with such high mileage it's not going to make it last any longer if anything the thinner molecule oil may find leaks on the motor and may cause more problems. I had a work truck years ago with a whole lot of km on it and the boss insisted on putting synthetic in it after we did we had pressure problems with it. like I said my truck usually runs just like what you have on your gauge pictures. if you really had a problem with pressure there would be other signs or sound. as long as the needle stay within that middle section kind of in the bars if you like you should be good I would be more concerned if it sat right in the middle and didn't move. any way it's your choice to put purple in your truck just to damn much for 5 liters like 60$ f that.
haha yea its costly. but my truck apparently only takes 3.9 liters... so says crappy tire... i dont believe that fully... but this is going to be my second oil change so ill check this time. but okay soo purple may not be soo smart... but whats the diff from synthetic vs regular oil than?
