WELL Greg i thank you for info. like i said iam old school . and there is a ton of new i dont know. iam willing to understand that. but i think the old stuff is true for the old time. iam having a hard time with this new stuff.
Manual Trans rely on gear meshing not fluid pressures and such. Only problem i could see in cold weather is the synchros being slower than normal. Just take your time at first

Sorry if I came off mean, just when I see info out there that isnt right I feel compelled to make sure that the person knows the truth, ya the new stuff is alot different, AFT 3-4 transmission fluid is weird in how it behaves. At cold temps, the pressures are way up, but the flow is down. Its kinda like cold engine oil. Also since overdrive is a reversed direction gear I believe, it takes twice as much fluid to keep it lubed up. And not to mention, friction packs and steels are always the weakest in overdrive for some reason. (you think they would learn, and make a trans that can take full power in OD)
