I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota 5.2L v8 and it stalls immediately in reverse and when coming to a stop. When coming to a stop the rpm falls to like 500 and tries to come back up then stalls. I replaced the IAC and it made it run better but didn't fix it. We took it to a shop and they hooked the computer up to it and said they couldn't find any sensors that were bad. Could it be a transmission problem? I am beginning to think so.
Mine was doing that a couple weeks ago and I just replaced the battery cable end completely took care of the problem. No code started good but had a stalling issue. Sometimes something that simple can be the culprit. Its worth a shot its cheap and easy
