Smile 99 dakota will not start

Hi all. Went out last saturday to hook up the boat and go fishing. For some reason my truck would crank but not start. It ran a week or so ago.The fuel pump starts and cycles. There is no spark out of the coil, and it seems the injectors are not cycling. No gas smell after several cranking attemps. No codes show up on the scanner. The weird part is while i am cranking the check gages light comes on. Than the abs light will come on shortly after the check gages light. if anybody could steer me in the right direction that would be helpfull. Thanks.

I had the same problem just recently and it was a bad coil. I would have sworn my injectors weren't firing (no gas smell at the tailpipe), but that wasn't the case.

did you check the primary and secondary reistance on the coil and the voltage from the PCM to trigger the coil. and yes you can get a new PCM from rock auto or off eBay they usually have to be flashed at the dealer

Check your cap and rotor. I had a 2001 Ram with 5.9L and it did the same thing. The rotor contact wears down to nothing. Runs fine then shut it off went back next day and no start.
