Thumbs down Autozone duralast crankshaft sensor

I would like to know if anyone has had any troubles with the duralast crankshaft sensor?
I purchased a crankshaft sensor for my 4.7L engine and it only lasted a year.
when I went to get a replacement under warranty they said there electrical parts only carry a 90 day warranty but my receipt said 2 year warranty.
It really was a Hastle to get a replacement from them I had to go to 2 stores to do it.

I would not purchase any electrical parts from auto zone for our dodge trucks as they do not last long.

If anyone has any input on this or had any troubles too with duralast please let me know.
I thought auto zone was a good place to purchase auto parts but now i am thinking twice about it.

Haven't had any experience with Crank sensor but have other electrically issues with Auto Zone/ Duralast. Most of the time on those parts it is 90 days and even then they can be funny about honor that. My opinion the Durlast brand has went downhill over the last few years.

Yep, totally agree with mmguy18. Duralast brand has gotten steadily worse over the last few years. Luckily I have been using the same store for the last 20 years and know all the guys there. I haven't had any problem returning parts but I have to return them more often than I used to.

I stick with AIRTEX/WELLS from rockauto.com a good brand a little more $$$ but worth it.

STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS from them has been good so far also

I just replaced mine again. It went out about 6 months ago. I replaced it and it went out again 2 weeks ago. I was thinking that there might be something wrong with the truck causing them to go bad. I don't know why, but I never even considered the sensors I was buying could just be crap. If it goes out again, I'll head to advanced.

Just throwing it out there, for my 97 Duralast parts for TPS; IAC and MAP are AIRTEX/WELLS- made. FYI.. Not sure on the other engines.

I understand that.. like for belts and such; like the Duralast belt tensioner I pulled a fast one on them because Dayco is the manf. for them.. they are identical in every way..

But if they are not seconds; this also would indicate why Autozone parts seem to be a bit higher in price almost that of the 'name brand' parts..
