Default SAS questions

So I have a 99 dakota sport 4x4 with the 5.2. and I have had the want to lift it beside the body lift that came with it. I know of right know to do a sas i need to find a front axle with housing to line up with the transfer case output and the rear and front gears need to match. I would like to know what good for a daily driver that sees mud a little more than usual. Or if you have any other ideas what i could do to lift it let me know.

Thanks

A sas is the only way to go unless you want to spend 1,500+ on the lift for the dakota.

A properly built SAS will cost you more than the Tuff Country kit. I'm in the middle of a "budget" one right now (leaf springs, open diff, reusing as many old parts as possible) and I don't even want to think about how much I've spent.

PM me if you're interested in buying a used Tuff Country kit.
