If you want it to be perfect like new you only have one option correct

As you said you dont want to mess with your breaks so bypassing the ABS is out

Hey guys, thanks for the info.

I was finally able to get the HCU out. I had to cut out holes in the plastic fender to get to the bolt heads.

Upon further inspection, the threads seen fine. They don't appear to be stripped. There is a possibility that I'm dealing with a bad flare bolt. I'm going to try a different brand and reflare the line.

Crossing my fingers. Will keep you posted.

Just to keep you posted and for future reference... It was a bad flare nut. I ended up using the stock flare nut, reflared and tightened with a vice grip. No more leak and the brakes are tight as hell.
