thats great. i had a dana/spicer locker put in my 2001 dak V6 3.9 with a 4.1 gear, a 8 1/4 axle. best money i ever spent. then a surprise my MPG went from 8-9 to 13. cause i dont drive on the hi way. this let the OD come in at 30 MPH, running a lower RPM. but i dont have the power you do, but iam good with that.

How did a locker change how your o/d unit worked?

The lower gearing happened to suit his driving speeds better, nothing to do with the locker

Didn't realize he changed the gearing just looked like he was stating what the axle was equipped with originally

so does that just make your axle pretty well solid or can you unlock it. Hows your trucks handling now while cornering? How about tire wear?
