Default Shaker hood - Sell or install?

I received a complete Keystone fiberglass shaker hood and filter assembly from previous owner when I got my truck. Seems like a pretty quality piece, but I'm not really going for the "muscle" look with my QC.

I've got a ram-air T/A, so I'm already covered in the "giant hood scoop intake" department, but I don't really see the shaker hoods around much so it might be kind of cool. It's a great cold air intake so i'm sure it wouldn't be bad for performance (or intake sound) but I kind of like the look of the stock hood with the truck, so Im torn. Thoughts on the shaker hood for a 03 4.7QC?

I might be missing something, but how does the air get down to the airbox or throttle body?

You could make a pretty penny off of it. As far as the air thing im guessing the has to cut a hole in that square resonator box on the throttle body. I would think there has to be some sort of adapter that hooks to the throttle body.

That shaker hood, especially with the air box set up for the 4.7, could easily bring you $400 +/- if you put it up for sale. A very rare item for sure.

The only problem I see with that is that your 4.7 doesn't shake. It might as well be just a regular hood scoop.

Thanks for the input! Seeing what they go for new, it's definitely for sale. I'd rather put the $$ into paying for the truck and keep the hood it's got.

Now, if I only had enough posts to post it up for sale . What's the deal with that anyway?
