flex plate and paint

Default flex plate and paint

ok so when painting my motor i think i screwed up.. i forgot to mask my flexplate.. and got paint on it.. now im not sure if the sensor there is gonna read it or not. am i ok with stripping the paint off. or do i have to get a new plate and sensor???

the truck is a 2000 dak with the 3.9L

I would try stripping the paint.

already started that with a wire wheel brush.. but i feel seeing the plate is grooved using a wire wheel on a drill will screw it up.. i do have some strypeeze...
