Not to bad but Im wondering why you need new spider gears did they say why?

Just one of those may as well do it kind of things

Not a bad price for a shop. Agree with 98DAKAZ did they tell you why a new spider gear. Broken teeth,cracked,or just wear.

They were going to send pictures, but I trust them (I am out of town right now). Said it was worn and may be out of spec before too long; if going this far, the $120 would be worth it, they said. All other gears looked great, no need to change.

I think I understand when I dropped my diff cover to change the oil and inspect the insides my spiders were the only thing that looked worn and had seen some heat they were a bit discolored a bluish tint to them they were a part if I had the time, tools and knowledge I would have replaced them.

I'll post pictures when I get the parts. Hopefully Friday, but might have to be Monday ; which will suck!

Ah well, truck is getting fixed.
