Oh no - Fluids help
The attached pictures are of my rear diff and the engine/trans seal. What is on the ground is from the rear, nothing on the ground under the engine.
With the rear diff, This is one of the few times I parked the truck facing down slope; usually back onto driveway and has a slight uphill spot.
The engine seal seems to just be a little seeping through the gasket.
Hope to get input on how bad these items may be. I will have to take to a shop for repair as these are likely way over my head.
Also, your input on how much of an emergency these look like to fix.
Thanks in advance!

I believe that your dif leak is a pinion seal gone bad. I would suggest having a shop do it. Should be around 20 dollars for the part, and an hour and a half of labor.
I can't really tell where the leak is in that third picture, I haven't been under my Dak in a long time... sorry.

Pinion and left rear seals, add about 3 hours total labor = $288.
if the bearings don't need replaced, any reason do to so? Seems to me, 205K miles might as well, or waste of money?
Thanks again!

Called my transmission place... could not believe it could be that inexpensive. Essentially quoted your exact amounts.

My transmission shop called today with the "good" news.
All new seals and bearings: ~ $775
Spider gear needs replaced: ~ $120
Not too bad, I guess, if I want to do it right $900
Then, they're discounting the replacement of the 4 O2 sensors, labor only $120
Still less than a new-to-me truck payment the past 3 years. I'll just keep fixin' her until she needs to be shot
Thanks again!
