I have one with a 5.2, and its scoots pretty well. A buddy of mine is actually trying to put a ram V10 into a dakota. I bet that will go ok.

You could do a cold air intake. A power programmer. They would boost power. Flowmaster, great choice! What series are you gonna get? I've got the 40 series with duals on mine. Sounds awsome. It would sound great on yours too.

Post pics if he gets it to fit. That's a big engine, and the LA motors have a hard enough time fitting between the fenders. That Banks Cummins dakota required extensive modification to the firewall and other stuff to get it in.

Ok well I have a set of 265 70R17's on my 04 Dak and they fit quite well. I have them on a set of American Racing Hype 17x8's and they measure out at approximately 32". And no, I didn't get a lift or adjust the torsion bars. ITs the stock ride level of a 4x4. Will post some pics when I clean it up, its kinda muddy right now due to hunting season opening. [:@]

What kind of backspacing do you have on those wheels?

I believe that the backspacing is 25mm and they fit rather well.
