I was thinking of getting that Undercover toolbox (the one on the wheel well) this Christmas. I also have the drop in bed liner and I have a hole in my box on the driver side rear wheel well. I was gonna just drill through the bed liner, or cut a whole.

I don't think its worth it to have it sprayed since it already has a hole.

If ya can wait till after Christmas I'll show ya how it turned out.

okay now i'm just getting annoyed. i can't seem to find an over the bed rail tool box anywhere that will not hit my wheel wells or sit 3 inches off my bed rails due to lack of space. don't they make a over the bed rail box that fits the quad cab short bed? i don't really want to modify the tool box and i don't want a plastic tool box.

Look online at lowes, home depot, tractor supply. They make ones that arent that deep and ones that have slanted sides for wheel well space.

I know the full size one I got from tractor supple is pretty close to my wheel wells.

No problem. I was gonna go get mine from there since I had a 75.00 in lowes gift cards. They didnt have any black slimline ones tho so I had to go to tractor supply and order mine

I hadn't thought of them, either. For its use, it will keep the honest people out and that's all one can ask. I have a hard cover, so that helps even further. Just want to store straps and maybe the hitch, if it's not too much of a load for the box.

Thanks.

Mine looks alright. Don't see any bad welds or anything. I keep my chain saw,gal of gas, small tool box,few straps and some other random stuff. I prob have 30-40lb in mine.
