Here are some pictures of the first shakedown lookover in the garage.
Under the hood is a MESS!! Heck the interior is a mess too. And the engine bay is trashed as well as the throttle body was VERY DIRTY! Some people.........But I do see what appears to be a spacer? The red thing? I've used carb spacers in my day on older V-8's but never one of those. Is it worth keeping on? The headers and duals seem to be in pretty decent shape. There is one minor leak on the passenger side header flange when cold. It seals up after things warm up.
He did change out those hideous mirrors though! BUT it has this craptastic aftermarket ricer gear selector lever end peice that seems to have a malfunctioning/sticking OD button. ANYONE have a suggestion on how I can get rid of that thing and put the stock unit back on there? Is there wires for the OD button that have to be reattached?
Sorry for the lomited pictures as we have gale force winds (30-60 MPH) and single digit temps in our neck of Alaska right now, so outside shots are not going to happen for a while...

I forgot to mention while cleaning out the interior I found:
-6 Hockey pucks
-1 pair of nice winter gloves
-A professional frisbee golf disc
-About $5.00 in change
-And a couple pens and minor crap
Not a bad find if I do say so.

Wow does that thing need a good day of steam cleaning the engine bay out.

Get back in the first pic page and push the pic's down below each other so the post isn’t 5 feet wide

Well I guess being in Alaska you dont need A/C do you?

Fixed, sorry, it looked fine when I first did it. Not sure why they stacked next to each other like that.
Yeah, steam cleaning an engine bay in the dead of winter is NOT a good idea. Unless you can put it in a warmed garage for the night afterwards. I'll be cleaning most of it by hand in the meantime. A/C is pretty much usless in Alaska, except for the 2-3 days it might get up to 75 or so!! but then we just roll down the windows........

wowwwwww is that thing in need of cleaning! I about threw up when I saw the engine bay...I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole....Unless there was a high pressure water nozzle on the end of it!

yes you have a TB spacer on there, does nothing, doesn't cost anything to leave it there and not worth it's weight to recycle.

Looks like it could use the carpet steam cleaned and/or just remove/replace it if you ever feel so inclined...
