Fuse Box Relocation
I have a 2001 Dakota SLT 3.9l ext. cab and I want to relocate just the fuse box under the hood to the area under the rear seats. I don't really need that space because I plan on getting a bed box. I know how to cut and splice wires but what would be the best way to route the wireing? I know that when your fooling with the electrical system you can screw everything up. Or could I get a shop to do it for me so if it got screwed up I wouldn't have to deal with fixing it? Any way I'm just thinking.
I doubt you'll find a shop willing to take on that job. If you do find one, you probably don't want them working on your truck.
If I were going to do the job myself (highly unlikely), I would probably run the wires down under the cab, inside the framerail, then up through the cab floor in back. If you do it, make sure the harness is well protected and all your splices are completely waterproof.

I don’t think moving your PDC is going to clean it up all that much considering the problems you may encounter and the cost involved

go to harbor freight and get a cable tie that has a tab on it to wright info, named "store house" item 99940 and put them on each end of each wire or even in the middle if needed. i use a "pilot' brand pen V5 precise RT, #26052 be sure to let it dry. others may work.
