Default Craptastic aftermarket shift lever HELP!

One of the PO installed this ricer terrible aftermarket shift lever on the truck I just got. The OD button is messing up and I would like to return it to OEM. Is it that difficult to remove and replace? I found this on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/321039768296...84.m1438.l2649

THIS is what is installed now:

Any suggestions?

I think it goes on/comes off easy, but not sure. Honestly too tired/lazy/wore out to look in the FSM. But I'll post it up when I get that far.

No mention of the handle, but I'm willing to bet it slides straight off. Page 1755 of the FSM.

Some of the rice junk like that will screw apart, like the carbon riceber will unscrew from the aluminum, below that there may be some allen set screws that attach it. Or it may be thereded on too. Channel locks or a small pipe wrench

I was able to remove it pretty easily. The top part with the non functional OD button screwed off and then the very bottom chrome piece screwed off as well. And the main center part had allen screws (as mentioned) that weren't even tightened down!! What a POS....Anyways,
If I touch the two wires together that are coming out of the lever the OD OFF light comes on. Then if I touch them together again it goes out. So that part works but my trans is STILL NOt shifting into 4th
