Default 97 dakota no power backfires and pops

hello i have been having a problem with my 97 dakota skipping and missing for a while now. the problem began when cold and straightened out after warm up. the problem has gotten progressivley worse and now the truck wont stay started for more than a minute or two and stall immediatley when put into gear. I have relpaced plugs, wires, dist cap, cam position sensor, crank position sensor, pcm, and coil pack. the current codes i am pulling are p0320, p0351, and p1391. all thes ecodes relate to crankshaft position sensor signal not reaching pcm. there is 5.1 volts at the crank position sensor connector on two of the three terminals inside the connector. i would hate to replace that pcm again and not fix the problem, any advice would be welcomed.

Had somewhat similar issue and replacing the O2 sensor fixed it. Mine would do it when transitioning from cold to warmed up at first, then started to do it more often. I replaced the front right sensor (forget which one it is called). Never had any codes.

Good luck,

Karl

Many times you will never see any codes

If your auto has over 120K on it start replacing all your sensors that is about when they start going on you and cheap if you DIY them yourself.
