Okay so my 2001 dodge dakota selector switch works great when it lights up.But only seems to do so after cab of truck is warm.When it comes on all work 4hi 4 lo with no problem....Maybe switch dying short bad ground im clueless!changed tccm same problem 4x4 will work fine till truck is turned off. Also when i started this mission to fix the selector i figured id wiggle some wires on the tccm which made it work flawlessly for a month now back to step 1

 

shift motor?? mine went bad caused all kinds of weird stuff 2 happen, intermittent shifting sometimes would work, and light up sometimes not, i too replaced the tccm as well, they communicate back and forth
