I'm pushing up on 200k on mine (I think I'm under 150 away, or close to it.)

The only things I've had to have replaced on the truck are the High Pressure AC Line, Power Steering Line, Starter, Transmission, and most recently, the Tensioner Pulley.

I've got a short list of mechanical things it needs still, but nothing TOO extreme that will keep it off the road longer than a day (I hope!)

Hello, I've done valve guide seals before, and the heads do not need to be removed.

Check the dates on the threads you are posting in. Some are quite old.

197,000 no mechanical engine failure. Change oil about every 8K but use Mobil 1 and change the oil filter at 4K with ithe Mobile 1 filter or WIX.

Default 302K and she lives!

parked for 4 years under shelter with the plan of possible re n re clutch and body..corner n rockers.
Always a stickler for maintenance, some problems, under hood fuse box rot with back lights/ bolts holding coil pack down wrong materials..but 4 years parked, check oil throw a weak battery and she roars back to life! I was thinking timing chain and oil pump as well as clutch all lines all fluids...04, 1500, 4.7 with NV 3500(?) 5 spd. Amazing truck!
