Clutch Slave cylinder
My sister-in-law has a 2.5L dakota 5-speed and it needs a new slave cylinder. So I picked one up for her and have a couple of questions about it. First, one instruction in the box tells me to leave the plastic retaining strap on the shaft so that it stays compressed, but another tells me to remove it and fill the cylinder with fluid and I am not sure which to follow. Next, what tool do I need to disconnect the brass line fitting on the old cylinder from the fluid line? A fuel line disconnect tool looks like the right idea, but it needs to be about 3/4' in diameter to fit. Thanks in advance.
