Default Fender Replacement

Has anyone here had experience with replacing the front fenders?

This summer I was going to fix all the wheelwells but the driver side fender is rusted right through so I'd rather just replace it. Every other wheelwell is just surface rust so I'll be repairing that soon.

Are the fenders relatively easy to pull off? I'm expecting a lot of bolts but does anyone have any tips/experience with it or is there a whole bunch of crap mounted to them? I'm talking specifically about the drive side fender.

Thanks

Drivers side is a bit harder, but still not too bad. ABS distribution block, power distribution center, and battery box are mounted to it. Easy to find the bolts and remove.

-remove battery
-disconnect all the parts mounted to the inner fender in the engine bay listed above
-remove headlight
-remove inner fender
-all the bolts are easily visible, should be 12 in total holding the fender on

That's perfect man thanks for the info!

It'll be a while till I actually replace it (waiting till the summer) but I'll start scoping out Dakotas in my local wrecker now.

Cheers
