Default Exhaust Tip

Ok i have a 01 4.7 l dakota QC . i did most of the exhaust except for the tips so right now its is just porting under the bed of the truck. Now i know where i want the tip which would be side ported on the passenger side before the tire. Now the part i am not sure of is if i want to go with dual tips or a big single tip. Keep in mind the rest of the exhaust is all 3" pipe

you kinda have to go with duals. just because one big tip in front of the tire is kind of a diesel thing.

I prefer rear exiting exhaust, I have a single 3in magnaflow with dual 3 inch turn down pipes to 4in tips. Looks real clean with my roll pan.

You could go with something like this, use 2, from summit. (Borla 20122)

or use two of these if you dig that square look. (MBRP T5120)

I would probably go with something like this:

Unless you have a dual outlet muffler, in which case it would look cool with two pipes running parallel and exiting out the side.

i am running single outlet on the muffler its a 3" hushpower muffler. that not a bad idea but when i looked at the other pic above i was thinking maybe i slant the tips so they match the bottom line of the truck.

You may have to go behind the back tire, I know on my QC the frames to low in front of the tire to exit there. I mean I could, just you'd be able to see too much pipe bending around for my taste

i noticed the same thing but i came up with the idea to heat up that part of pipe and slowly flatten it out a little so it tucks in better. granted its only and idea i will have to try it out and see how it looks.
