Default power steering leak. need help.

Hey there. I have a 2000 dodge dakota. I have been having problems with my power steering resevoir leaking for the past month and been trying to get verbal help from auto repair shops and canadian tire cuz I cant afford to get it into the shop here and now. Just trying to figure out what the problem could be. The morons at the shops refuse to give advice unless I bring my truck in and pay for the labour. Its leaking from the metal pipe the curves up and attaches to the bottum of the resevoir. Its leaking from right there. I had the nut unscrew and the pipe fall away abouta month ago and wondering if there is supposed to be some sort of rubber washer seal that gose inside or somthing that might have fallen out? I cant think of any other reason for it to be giving me trouble. Any ideas? It was -42 out the day the pipe fell off the resevoir.

Would replacing the power steering pump be the easiest and quickest?

What engine do you have?

The 2.5 engine has a seperate power steering fluid tank if so thats an easy fix unless the tank is cracked.

Replacing the pump may be the easy fix
