Default 97 Dakota Radio Swap

Im going to try to swap out my radio/cassette head unit for an 03 Durango radio/cd/casette head unit...my 97 Dakota is the base model...rollie windows, no power windows or locks...the Durango was leather interior, power everything...I'm assuming it was the premium model...will it work...?

The electrical connections are different and you may have a problem with it fitting in the opening correctly. '01 and up are more rounded.

It would probably be best just to buy an aftermarket one. You can wire it the easy way and buy a $20 adapter to make wiring super simple.

Good news, maybe...I googled the radio model #...it came out of a 1998-2002 Durango...it has the same amount of connectors as my 97...we'll see when I pull it out I guess...
