Default wipers come on with radiator fan????

Got my truck put back together today, but the wipers come on with the radiator fan.

I'm puzzled. The CTM controls the wipers while PCM controls the fan. Only the passenger front got hit. The only damaged OEM wiring I found was to one of the front right turn signals (got cut when the housing got smashed). The only place I can think that the 2 cross paths is the PDC??
I pulled the big radiator fan relay while they were running, of course the fan shut down, then the wipers stopped at the end of the next cycle. So I know it's something after the radiator fan relay.

This comment from another forum might be close. The whole right side of th washer tank unit (the water level indic, water pump, tank, ect) pretty much got mangled in the folded up fender and core support. So based on these comments, maybe the radiator fan is somehow triggering a CTM/PCM input?

Not even joking a bit, I JUST had this problem with a customers 2001.

Take note and see if its actually triggering the "wash" function, but without the washer pump running. My problem turned out to be on the ground side of the washer pump had rubbed through in the harness and was backfeeding through the washer pump, and back into the Central Timer Module and was actually triggering the wash function (3 or 4 sweeps of the wipers on low)
I pulled the connector from the washer pump, and that stopped them from turning on so that must be what is going on here too. Good call R.D.J!!!

You have a bad ground.

The ground for the radiator fan is where you were hit. See attached. The ground for the wipers is by the battery.

But, the ground for the washer pump is the SAME as the ground for the radiator fan.

Make sure they're both clean and tight.

I have some custom wiring Re:Radiator fan, but I have the 10 gauge lead off the lincoln fan grounding to the stud on the fender where another ground strap goes with what looks to be 4-6 wires in it is attached, then there is another grounding stud closer to the PCM that I put it's ground strap to. So 2 OEM grounds and my radiator fan ground, same as it was before. At least, I think.

I'm trying to figure out how a bad ground (G112 I'm assuming) can trigger the wiper system off the radiator fan.

You're likely backfeeding through the washer motor into the CTM and triggering it.

I'll unhook the washer pump and see if that changes anything.
