Thats bad news indeed! I was told all I needed to do is modify the flywheel and not to worry about the transmission.

Though saying that I need to update to an Automatic, kind of disturbs me. I love my stick shift. It gives me great control over the harsh dunes here unlike the Auto.

Got any idea, on how I can resolve this or proceed with this?

Honestly, I could just sell the dakota, but I would liek to avoid that since I have a major project planned for it. The body and size is just perfect for the concept I have in mind.

To add, Dakotas isn't really a common vehicle where I am at. I think maybe in total the whole country has 10-20 Dakotas summed together, which am guessing some is out of commission by now since people here go with popularity and trends rather than the passion and art for the cars.
