sheared exhaust manifold bolt
Ok guys,
Noticed I had an exhaust manifold leak. So I bought a new gasket set and went to go change it. Found out the driver side rear upper bolt is sheared off flush with the manifold. My question is would you suggest using something like easy out or should I bring it to a shop. Ive never used easy out, but I'm leaning toward doing it myself because I hate going to a shop.

So if you remove the manifold will there be a stub of the bolt protruding from the head, or do you mean it broke flush with the head?
If there is a stub, then remove the manifold and try vice-grips on the stub - very carefully. If it is tighter than can be easily removed don't mangle the stub. You'll need to find someone to weld a nut, one size bigger, onto the stub. The heat of welding will expand it, cooling will shrink it, and the nut provides a good grip for a wrench or socket.
If it's broken flush with the head you've got a real problem. DON'T use an "easy out" - they are anything but. Break off the easy out in the hole, assuming you can even get a hole drilled into the center of the broken bolt, and the head will have to come off.
Get some local advice and/or provide a bit more detail, or a photo. For sure don't hack at it and make it worse.
