Default 2002 Dodge Durango SLT

Hi everyone, I have a 2002 Dodge Durango SLT. I have been experiencing an issue with my doors locking and unlocking by themselves. I have traced it back to the CTM module and have a question for those more knowledgeable than myself.

My module number is P56049073AG , Vendor: 64469H

I was told by the local dealer that beginning in my model year, the CTM is matched to the VIN number of my vehicle. They told me that I could not buy a used module, that it had to be one from them, that they program because of the integrated security system, ect. Sounds like bull to me, but thought I would ask anyway.

Thanks

Read the first post in this thread. Guy has a 2002 and used the CTM from a 2001.

Probably the only truth to the dealers comment is the key fob will have to be reprogrammed. I think my dealer charged me $10 or $20 to do it.
