Lightbulb Opinions on 1/2 Impact

Need to buy a new 1/2 impact. Got a cheap one as a gift. I look it up the other day and here a few things about it.

Max speed 7000 rpm's
Max Torque 250 ft-lbs
Impact's per min 460

Needless to say it doesn't do well for me I think torque is to low. So wonder if anyone has a opinion the kinda impact I should look at? I do not use a whole lot so not looking to spend to much but when I do I would like it to work any kind of job. As a example needed to remove the nut to change my pinion seal and my current impact would not phase it.

Yea, it seems a little low. The cheap craftsman ones are 400 ft-lb.

It also depends on your air pressure. We have the big 2 stage husky pro, max 120psi and turns on at 90psi.

I have this one. It wasn't cheap but it kicks butt.

Pretty hard to beat the price on that Craftsman one.

I have an old craftsmen(late 80's early 90's prob) I think its around 500lb torque. Tho you have to have a good compressor and air hose to be able to supply the pressure. I bought a harbor freight one couple years ago and I think it was 350lb/tq and I paid 19.99 for it. Check ebay for some.

best one I ever owned is made by MAC TOOLS kinda pricy but never had to worry about not getting a rusty nut or bolt off with it has over 500 ft pounds torque and is adjustable took lugs off a semi no problem with a 1/2 in drive impact pretty impressive if you ask me
