Default Parking Brake and ABS Lights on constantly

My Parking Brake and ABS lights on the instrument cluster stay on all the time, even though the parking brake is not engaged, and the brakes are not malfunctioning whatsoever. Any ideas as to why this might be happening, and/or a way to get those lights to go off? Thanks in advance.

My truck does this occasionally as well. Also when it happens none of the electronics work in my truck (ie wipers, windows, etc.) I just shut off the truck and restart it and it goes away. Its quiet weird.

Low brake fluid, or signs that your speed sensor is going out.

You have one located on the driver side of the tranny. The other which is usually the problem is located on the top of your rear dif. IF you notice that the speedo doesn't kick in till like 20-30 mph then its your rear wheel speed sensor.

If the ABS light is on it has detected a fault. It might be a good idea to take it to someone that can read the ABS codes, like a dealer, to find out exactly what is wrong. Otherwise you can spend a lot of money chasing leads.

A regular code scanner won't work. A dealer and some "good" brake shops should be able to read the codes.
