Default Fixing P0152

I just had the check engine light come on while driving and my truck started sputtering. I pulled over and shut it off. Did a once over and eerything seemed fine. Drove off and it was fine. His the gas and it backfired a bit. Im reading its the O2 sensor. But is it the under the hood or in the exhaust ? My truck is a 2001 3.9

It's in the exhaust, before and after the cats. You can do the key dance to get the code to find out which one it is. Turn the ignition key from off to run and back to off 2 times. Then turn it from off to run a 3rd time and leave it in run and the code(s) will show up in the odometer window.

P0152 2/1 O2 sensor shorted to voltage.

It's in the exhaust, near the transmission pan, drivers side.

Do it yourself. The lowers are easy to get to, getting to the connector is hard part.

He could have two or four O2 sensors. It all depends upon the emissions package, not the engine.
