Default Removing 3.9 exhaust manifold help!

Hey guys, Im trying to replace the passenger side exhast manifold gasket, I have the 2 studs stuck in the manifold, the bolts are removed and the manifold is loose from the head. I removed the flang bolts, I cut them off. Now my problem is removing the manifold from the downpipe, it seems like its stuck in there good. I really dont have much play because of the 2 studs. Whats the best way to go about seperating the manifold from the downpipe?

Thanks.

Jay.

unhook the downpipe on both sides, it should completely fall away.

I did mine by just pulling the manifold straight out through the engine compartment. If you havent already, I would take out the air filter box, and even the plastic fender well. It may be a little more work but with that fender well removed you can get in there really well.

Hope it helps.

hint from the old man. DO use anti-sieze compound on ALL threads. when you put it back in, only tighten the manifold bolts only to 70-80% of full torque. after 6-7 full heat cycles tight to full torque. if it starts to leak before that go ahead and take them to full torque. i think the torque called out my the factory is a bit to tight, if you get buy with less that might work. but its just my idea.
