Default dash lights and cruise

Are these interconnected. I cant get either one to work. It sucks driving at night with a pocket lite to see the dash.

Have you checked all of your fuses? Also the CC might be vacuum controlled.

I forgot to ask in the other thread, what year is your Stingray?

yes, all the fuses have been checked. Initially none of the dash worked and there was no radio. Could not figure out the dash propblem, put in a radio and the dash started working. But still no dash lights or cruise control.
Stingray is a 75, also own a couple of 82's and an 80.

Did your Dak came with a OEM radio or did you just install a radio?

did this problem started after installing a radio?

when I pulled it out of the woods there was a burned out starter, no battery and no radio. i put in a starter and battery and drove it. At that time nothing on the dash worked. I installed an aftermarket radio. Now everything works except cruise and dash lites

It could be possible that some of the wire harness that goes to the radio passes thru to power the dash lights?

I know you said every thing else works but, have you checked your tail lights? When Dash Lights go out It is a sign Your tail light are not working, at least that was wht it did on My CJ.

Stock radio taps power from the dashboard illumination in order to change the illum of the radio, perhaps that's shorting out somewhere? Could also have to do with the headlight switch.
