proper numbers?
You cut three seconds off with your gears or 3.5 seconds till your as fast as a hemi. But factoring your diff advantage which I gave you an +17.5% power boost (for purpose of trying to get a similar numbers) if your engine is making 200 hp you actually are getting something similarish to 235hp for acceleration purposes.
Hmmm okay, well I use to drive an 04' dodge durango with the 5.7 Hemi. It was to say the least it got that 5,500 lbs durango to haul ***. But driving my dakota now, it is starting to get off the line in the same fashion as the hemi did. If my math is also correct my hp per ton ratio in the dakota is the same as the hemi's was, the only advantage the hemi had was a 3.73 diff and AWD. If the dakota can do 0-60 in 7.5 like the durango did. I don't want to know what a 3.92 would do.
60' 2.118@30.5mph
330' 6.084@58.64mph
1/8 mile 9.468@72.89mph
1000' 12.439@82.85mph
1/4 mile 14.949@90.33mph
213.5 RWHP@4368rpm
272.4 RWTQ@3485rpm
Then by me putting a 4.10 diff in.... Someone please tell me my 0-60 won't be near 5.5 seconds. Cause by my classification that makes my dak a sleeper. I get a 5.9 will beat that but if I pulled up next to an SLT (mine) I wouldn't have the slightest clue that it could beat most vehicles to 60
I see the similarity and where your gearing helps you. Thanks for posting!
