Default Power steering

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota 4 door quad cab 4 wheel drive 5.9 engine. Yesterday my steering starting getting stuck in mid turn. I checked power steering fluid and it's full. Any ideas what could be wrong?

warning do NOT flush the pump with anything but oil. i saw a pump wiped out by flushing it with solvent, under power.

There is a steering shaft with u-joints, it runs from the steering column to the rack. If the u-joints freeze up - which DOES happen, it'll bind up.

Replacement is the permanent solution. A temp fix is penetrating oil.

Thanks guys but I found the problem. There was an old led battery cable end down where the u-joints are by the rack wedged in there stopping it from turning. Unbelievable. IDK how it got in there
