Vibrating Bucking and Knocking, 98 3.9 5spd 2wd
Alright folks, as always, this forums has been a great tool and I always end up spending way more time on here than my girlfriend likes.
Business time, I have a 98 Dodge Dakota Sport 3.9 V6 with 2WD and a 5 speed. On my way into work yesterday it felt like it was starting to miss and not fire. On my way back from work, it became much worse and before I made it home, the engine was knocking and vibrating like no tomorrow. Vibrating as in a wobble, not like a cell phone. I would have to rev it pretty high to get it to go. I parked it, revved the engine a few times in neutral and it still the same thing, just not as severe as when it was under load.
Thoughts? Besides being extremely thankful my roommate and I are coworkers.

I would try the usual suspects first a tune-up check for vacuum leaks check your sparkplugs and wires.
Check for problem codes at AutoZone for free look at your grounds
Did you just fill up with Gas you may have some bad Gas fuel
That's a start

I am nearing the end of a tank of gas, hasn't given me issues until the last 20 miles. I will top it off with some premium and fuel treatment.
No codes are being thrown. I have a scanner, ran it yesterday and came up with nothing.
Looks like it's time to pull the plugs. I just broke 110k on the odo and really hope it's not anything major in the engine.

I was about to say torque convertor bolts (mine backed out, eerie noise/vibe they make when loose), but you have a 5 speed.
Pull the dizzy cap and wires. I had my coil wire come completely apart on me on the dizzy end.
If it's physically moving around on the motor mounts, something is definitely up and you have a cold cylinder somewhere.
