Problems.. any help apreciated.
alright so i have a few problems im looking for sndwers for, first i have a 2000 dakota 4.7, one of my injectors is ****ed, causing a check engine light, so im looking to get new ones, i dont know if i should buy ONE from my local parts store for about 100 bucks, or get a whole set from ebay for about 300. also what kind i should get, how many lbs i need, and all that. second, what kind of speed do you guys get with the 4 speed auto trans? mine seems to cruise at 120kmph but at like 3000rpm, just doesnt seem good to me? another thing is the slight, constant vibration coming from the rear, it is worse under higher load but is still there when its not.. i think its the driveshaft but i just wouldnt know what.. lastly, my front right wheel sticks out about half an inch to one inch more than any other wheels, its the same offset as them all and i just dont understand... any help would be amazing!

Rockauto.com has your fuel injectors for 36.79 usd (37.33 cad) each.
Sounds like youve lost your overdrive... 3k rpms is pretty high. I do 75 mph (about 120 kph) at about 2200 rpm daily.
Does the truck have any accidents in its history? That could explain the rear end mess, and shoddy repair work could explain the front tire sticking out.

Im not really sure what would cause it. The first thing i would do is check to see if the "O/D OFF" light on the instrument panel is working (i like to think simply when i dont know what im doing :-).
It might come back... 2 years ago i lost my o/d in late november... was asking people about it and everyone pretty much told me i needed a new transmission. Didnt have the money for all that, so i figured id limp along until it died completely... had no problems with the other gears at all. Then one day in march it came back. I know it sounds weird... i have no idea what the problem was, and i hadn't so much as aired up the tires... still a mystery to me to this day. I wouldnt recommend the 'hope it fixes itself magically' method though lol.

Funny that you mention that, ever since I got the truck, when I put it in gear, or reverse sometimes the "o/d off" comes on, I had always thought it meant odometer off! So I'm not sure if its broken, or if engage and disengage it all the time. Next ill ask HOW you engage and disengage it, because from what I've read there is a way to... Even going up the highway at 120 the thing never said "O/D off" when it was having the high revs... Thanks for all the help, but also no thanks because you have uncovered yet another problem -_-

There is a button on the end of the gearshift that might have a picture of a trailer on it (that might be worn off)... that is your o/d toggle switch.
The vehicle speed sensor being off is a big problem because it is telling the pcm tye wrong information about the driving conditions... therefore the pcm is going to tell the engine to do things that are inappropriate for the current driving conditions... and yes, it stands to reason that the o/d gear may not engage because of this. I would highly recommend that you don't drive the truck until you get that fixed... it might be ok though because it is a dakota ;-)
Do you have a code scanner available?
