How much would you pay for my truck?
I would to get 5 for it anyway. I'll print out the KBB and show it to who ever wants to by it, or I encourage them to check it themselves. I'm not looking to get rich here, just looking to get what it is worth.
My dad has been looking for a truck, well now a used one since he decided a new challenger was more important lol If he didnt mind a manual I would tell him about yours. I think 5k is more than fair for your truck. Prices are going to vary form state to state.
It's had its fair share of issues, but I've taken care of just about everything. A/C still needs to be addressed if you want cold air, and the reverse lights don't work (most likely just the switch on the trans), but other than that it's in good shape for its age/miles. It will need brakes in the next 10k miles, front ones that is. Rears were done just a couple years ago.
I have recites for every penny I've ever spent on the truck. Shocks have a lifetime warranty and the front end is all poly bushings that will outlive the truck. Also has greasable ball joints that get a shot of grease every time I change the oil. So most of the common issues with Dakotas should be taken care of.
Rear bumper has a little rust, not terrible, but rust gets worse obviously. Still have a urethane roll pan I'd throw in with the truck which would take care of that. There's a little rust in the bed on top of the driver's side wheel well, just surface rust at this point and could be fixed easily with some sanding and giving the bed a nice coat of bed liner. Something I wish I could have done but don't have any where to work on my truck anymore.
Clutch was replaced in the fall, shifts smoothly, has good feel. Better than a lot of manual transmission vehicles I've driven surprisingly. Something I've always liked about the truck is how smooth it shifts for being a truck.
The truck was never in an accident outside of hitting a dear which only resulted in cosmetic issues (bumper, headlight, fog light, fender) and the radiator was replaced.
Has a brand new battery. It died on me in January when it was -20F here in the morning of course.
That's all I can think of for now...
I do like the truck, it's given me some headaches at times, but I still like the truck. Just have no use for a truck anymore. I moved out of my parents place and into an apartment, so I no longer have to do firewood. It never towed anything since I've owned it, although it does have the tow package.

I would put it up for $6000 and see how it goes. Buyers always want to know they did something by talking someone down so give them room. Sold my 97 Nissan 4wd with a spun rod bearing for $2500. 4x4 trucks down south go for a lot more than most places. Id say you could almost get $7500 down here in bama
