Default new dodge guy was old ford guy.

installing self powered sub in a 2004 dakota where should i put the power wire

Welcome to DF! I will move this to the 2nd gen Dakota section. Yiou will get your answer there. Normally though, any power wires for subs need to go directly to the battery for best results.

I ran my power wire from the battery, to the door jam, through an unused gromet, under the trim and carpet, came out with the power seat wires, between console and carpet, to amp under pass seat.
