I'm thinking the rear bar is mainly for a fully loaded box however on small trucks I have read they make a bigger difference with an empty bed if the truck is smaller because the suspension is softer. I will have to see how she rides after 4 Bilsteins and a front bar but it is good to know they are stock if I need one. They do sell aftermarket rear kits for the GenI Dakota so it must make some sort of a difference?
Thats the problem. No point in having a truck if you cant haul anything lol I know there are guys that ask about how to get better mpg and really with a truck there isnt a way. Pretty much if you want good mpg you need a car. . Good shocks will help. My dads jeep was horrible with 140k on the original shocks. Put new ones on and it feels like a brand new vehicle

My truck handles pretty well. It has the towing package and I noticed that with just me the ride is pretty stiff but I recently took a trip with me and 3 other people and the ride was much better with the added weight.
I also have a 2013 Mustang with BMR progressive springs, Eibach front and rear adjustable bars, aluminum upper and lower control arms,Aluminum adjustable panhard bar, Tokico d-spec adjustables and Brembo brakes. I really don't see how you could possibly get my truck to handle like my Mustang.

I don't really have to move anything with it over 300lbs max, I can get better mpg then 9 by simply getting a 5-speed with OD. I picked up a sway bar today now I'm waiting on Prothane bushings, it should handle a LOT better now:

Well I can't say that I have ever attempted to "drive" a garbage bag but I have owned some GM products that would fit that analysis.
The OP said he wanted his truck to drive like a sports car. I love my Dakota but it drives like a truck and absolutely not like a sports car.
My point wasn't to get your opinion on my car but to say that it is going to be very difficult and expensive to get his truck to handle like a sports car.

lol it's cool man, my sports car analogy is stated with sloppy suspension so I suppose I worded it wrongly...handle like a sports truck.
