Default 98 Dakota, poops out

Just bought a 98 Dakota 4 cyl, drove it home, went out to start it the next da and it won't start. It turns over, but there is no power to fuel pump or to the coil. I've checked all the fuses, relays, and made sure all the wire connectors are clean and connected. I've changed out questional relays and checked every fuse with a multimeter. We wanted a project car, I guess we got one sooner than I wanted.HELP, HELP PLEASE

You checked the PDC in the engine bay?

Usually if you get nothing its the Crankshaft Position Sensor or the Distributor Ignition Pickup.

Have you checked the cap and rotor the coil or wires?

I fixed it! Ya hoo. Well it was the crank position sensor after all. This is one of the items that's so hard to work on, that all design engineers and everyone that gets to design cars and trucks needs to work on their creations and maybe they wouldn't make everything so difficult to get to.

You know what helped my 2.5 the most and bring back some power pop out all your sparkplugs disconnect the coil then poor around 2 oz. of mmo/Marvel Mystery Oil in each cylinder let sit an hour the turn over the engine by hand a few times then repeat with 2 oz. more mmo let sit two hours turn over a few 2 oz. more let sit overnight.

Install the plugs connect the coil and start it up

It cleaned up my piston rings and freed up a stuck ring bringing back some lost power

mmo is cheap

Next step is an engine oil flush with Gunk 5-Minute Motor Flush cleans engines in 5 minutes follow directions please no more than the 5 minutes

These two things helped my 2.5 great results
