Default leaky windshield

When it rains water leaks through the top of my windshield and gets everything wet. also i can feel water drops fall and hit my left foot right under the e brake. Is this just water running down the post and dripping? my carpen is constantly wet because of this. Would i be able to buy a sealant and just put a new bead around my windshield? and also how hard is it to take out the carpet and just spray on a bedliner onto the floor? I have a club cab with bucket seats.

Hi,

The ONLY way to do this right is to pull the windshield. Not something you can likely do. I was lucky. A glass shop was able to pull mine in one piece.

In my case the leak was from a badly installed replacement windshield. Water got trapped under the weatherstripping and rusted the flange for the window. Once the area was cleaned up and the windshield reinstalled, no more leaks.

I was quoted $140 for resealing the windshield and a new top piece of weatherstripping

By resealing will they REMOVE the windshield and reinstall? If so, great. Any other repair won't last.

140 isnt that bad to fix. As far as pulling the carpet its pretty easy and should be dried out if it gets too wet.
