A/C Drain Tube Fix??
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...nside-cab.html
I found this thread ^ about the A/C leaking into the cab, I have a swimming pool in my passenger floor board, is what mentioned in the above thread all I need to do or is there something else I need to look for while I'm working on it?? I don't know if its just because its real humid past two days or maybe because I noticed a wet spot on the back of the new floor mats, but I didn't seem to notice this last summer, but it does look like its leaked before. Also I checked and the drain did not seem clogged
Thanks!!!
Oh the readers digest version of the linked thread says to install a 5/8 elbow on the drain and that its was a known problem

Its also water suction if no elbow the drip water tends to stick to the tube and get sucked back into the cab the air flow makes it worse.
That's why some cant figure it out as it looks like its dripping fine at a standstill.
Other things can be happening like a partly blocked drip line it drips but its also backing up and finds an exit onto your floor.
Using suction is the best way to unclog it just pushing the clog back into the box is a temp fix it will come back

I used a $.32 1/2 PVC elbow and some black RTV to make it more secure, I'm going to add a barb fitting to the bottom and then some heater hose so it don't drip on the trans/chassis/exhaust
Just strange how it seemed to happen all of a sudden, maybe the stars were lined up just right
Sure hope it drys out well and don't stink, but atleast its an excuse to get new carpet if it dont

be careful with using the elbow. mine actually cracked the tube housing by tring this. i actually was told an even simpler solution it to find a round o ring and slip it over the drip tube. that keeps it from draining back into the cap.
Its actually a little rubber elbow that has its own pinch clip you can get them from the dealer. I was getting a little work on my Dak at the dealer and had them put one on I think they did it for free.
So I think any dealer has them
And remember this if fitting something the gets pushed into the tube not on the outside you are now causing the water to back up inside the Box.
