Default slave cylinder issue

Hey guys I recently replaced my clutch slave and master cylinders. There is a quick disconnection that goes into the slave cylinder (looks like a golden cylinder) my new slave came with a new one but I decided to keep old one on after failing to 'quickly' disconnect it. The slave also came with a flat, very flimsy wrench / disconnect tool that just bent when I tried to use it. Does anyone know where I can find a sturdier tool or have another method to get this f*in thing off? I just want to drive my truck again!

Oh just to be clearer I think I damaged the old cylinder trying to get it disconnected from line which is why I'm trying to put the replacement in. I'm hoping this is why I still don't have any pressure on my clutch

that's funny I just replaced that entire setup and now I have to replace my throw out bearing. I wound up cutting it out with a dremial and that took me forever you gotta go slow and easy stop when you get to the silver band. i'll find a leak the pics I posted on here

The link sent me to ur post but I didn't find a picture. The line from the master cylinder goes onto it (the gold cyl) which then connects to the slave

yeah what I did was cut it out, use a dremial and go slowly. you will see a steel band with square holes in it that's your stopping point. make to cuts one on each side and then you can pull it apart. just take your time and go slow and you'll be fine.

I did get it off finally. Can't get the new one to stay on for some reason. Its a different style than the old one but it should work fine. Idk this thing is getting to be such a headache for a little thing

take a flat head screw driver or a pry bar and push it in as hard as you can, just make sure you don't puncture that fitting. Dodge put this set up in the 98-99 years, and even then it's in only in 25% of vehicles of each year. if you find parts in a junk yard get them! And how did you get it out?

I used a hacksaw basically couldn't find my dremel. I did get the new fitting to stay on and got everything hooked up. The new slave comes with a bleeder valve so I attempted to bleed the system for like an hour and still no pressure in the pedal. The way I was doing it was with cap on Res. Open the valve, have buddy push down and hold clutch, close valve and then pump the pedal. I did let the Res run out either. I'm pretty stumped. I even took the slave back and got another just in case. I'm not even angry anymore haha..just clueless. My goal is now to make more friends with mechanics.

when you bleed the clutch he can NOT take his foot off the clutch or release pressure, if you have the bleeder screw open and he lets of the clutch then air will enter the system again.
