Default 1998 Dakota 318 needs heads, cam, exhaust combo

Hello everyone! I'm new to the Dodge community. I finally purchased a truck I had wanted since High School. So my 98 Dakota w/ a stock 5.2 and 5-speed will be built for general recreation, so I'd like to find a heads/cam/exhaust (Long Tube and true dual) that will work well together. I assume I will have to get a tuner as well. Any thoughts on a combo? Also, would an intake be critical in this combo? Thanks for your help, and if you want to point me in the right direction, that works too!

I just want to say, I'm so jealous of anybody who doesn't live in California.

jegs has lots of headers. and depending on what your looking to do with it will depend on the headers and cam. intake i waould say go with the M1 its expensive but its the best over all i have found yet. the heads again depends on what you looking for if you was to hook to the boat and not drop below 60 climbing good hills go with a RV cam with timed back so your max tq and hp are around 3400 rpm. as for headers short headers build TQ long build HP also i found that the stock y is restricting and if you run the down streem further back in the exhaust it wont throw a cat code. when you punch the cat out. and im only running a glass pack and 3 IN single out the RR at 45 and i love the sound of my dakota 5.2 5 speed. (it rumbles not snaps like the 2.5 or 2.25 twin tails do.)
